The Time for Action is Now!
International Women’s Day is not just a day to celebrate women—it is a call to action. At Verraki, we marked this occasion with an inspiring session, reigniting the Verraki Women Network and reflecting on this year’s theme: #AccelerateAction for gender equality.

The event was a powerful moment for us to move beyond conversations and into tangible actions that create lasting impact. We discussed the barriers women face in the workplace, the progress we have made, and the work that still lies ahead. It was a room filled with stories, wisdom, and encouragement, as we all committed to playing our part in accelerating change.

Sharing My Journey: From Developer to Project Manager
One of the highlights for me was sharing my own experience—from starting out as a software developer to taking on the role of a project manager in process automation. Stepping up into new responsibilities wasn’t easy, but I learned that growth happens when we embrace challenges. I shared my journey to inspire other women in the room to lean into their ambitions, break barriers, and confidently own their space in tech and leadership.
Building Confidence and Overcoming Fears
During the session, one of Verraki’s partners, TA, shared insights on overcoming fear and gaining confidence. I had the privilege of contributing to this discussion, reinforcing the importance of believing in ourselves and taking bold steps forward. Another partner, Abayomi, also led insightful conversations that sparked deeper reflections among attendees.
This session was more than a celebration—it was a moment of commitment. Each of us left feeling empowered to advocate for equal opportunities, mentor the next generation, and support one another in our unique journeys.

What’s Next?
Beyond International Women’s Day, our work continues. The Verraki Women Network is a renewed force for empowering women in the workplace and beyond, and I am excited to be part of this movement.
So, I leave you with this question:
How will you accelerate action in your own space?
The time is now. Let’s keep pushing for progress, together.
