On March 6, 2025, I had the privilege of speaking at Hillsprings International School’s Career Day as a Software Developer. It was an exciting and unforgettable experience, as I engaged with over 300 pupils, all dressed in different career outfits—doctors, firefighters, teachers, chefs, lawyers, pilots, software developers, YouTubers, and more. The atmosphere was electric, with each career group delivering unique and engaging presentations.

A Celebration of Career Dreams

From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the excitement and creativity on display. Each career group had something special to present—whether it was young doctors explaining how they would save lives, future firefighters demonstrating how to put out fires, or the tech-savvy YouTubers sharing how they create content. Seeing such passion and enthusiasm at a young age was truly inspiring.

Bringing Software Development to Life

During my session, I asked a simple question:
👉 “Who here has ever used a phone, tablet, or computer?”
Almost every hand shot up! From there, I explained how software developers are the creative minds behind their favorite apps, games, and websites.

To make it even more interactive, I introduced a “Robot Coding” activity, where the kids gave me step-by-step instructions as if I were a robot. This helped them understand the logic behind coding in a fun and engaging way.

Meeting Future Innovators

One of the best parts of the day was meeting students who are already on their tech journey. I had the pleasure of taking pictures with some of them—budding software developers, YouTubers, and digital creators—who are already exploring their passions. Their confidence and creativity were truly remarkable.

Final Thoughts

Career Day at Hillsprings International School was an amazing experience. From the energy of the students to the diverse career presentations, every moment was inspiring. It reinforced the importance of mentorship, exposure, and encouragement in shaping young minds.
